The Tenets of Taekwon-Do
Principles we aim to achieve or live by. The tenets serve as a guide for all serious students of the art.
Courtesy (ye ui)
To have good manners. To be polite, respectful and courteous to each other.
Integrity (yom chi)
Being honest, just and trustworthy.
Perseverance (in nae)
The determination to complete what has been started and overcoming difficulties.
Self Control (guk gi)
To exercise control over ones actions and emotions.
Indomitable Spirit (beakjul boolgool)
The inner spirit that produces courage in the face of injustice or perpetrators.
